Connect Facebook

Connect a Facebook Page to receive and respond to customer messages through Messenger.
How It Works
When a customer sends a message through Messenger, ChatAsynq receives the message and generates a response.
  • A customer sends a message to your Facebook Page.
  • ChatAsynq receives the message event.
  • A response is generated based on your AI settings and knowledge base.
  • The response is sent back through Messenger.
Connect Your Facebook Page
Facebook uses an authorization flow, so you do not need to manually enter access keys.
  • Click Add Connection.
  • Sign in to your Facebook account.
  • Select the Facebook Page you want to connect.
  • Complete the authorization process.
Select a Facebook Page
After authorization, the Facebook Pages available to your account will be displayed.
  • View the Page name and profile image.
  • Switch between available Facebook Pages.
  • Manage each Facebook Page independently.
Enable or Disable Responses
Control whether automatic Messenger responses are enabled.
  • Enabled: Receive and respond to Messenger messages.
  • Disabled: Pause automatic responses.
Authorization
Facebook uses access tokens to authorize the connection. Authorization may need to be renewed when access expires or permissions change.
  • ChatAsynq records the most recent authorization time.
  • Access may expire or become invalid over time.
  • Reconnect your Facebook account when authorization is no longer valid.
Common Actions
After connecting a Facebook Page, you can:
  • Disconnect: Remove the Facebook Page connection.
  • Reauthorize: Refresh the permissions required by ChatAsynq.
Common Issues
You may need to reauthorize your Facebook account if:
  • New messages are no longer being received.
  • Messages cannot be sent successfully.
  • Required permissions have changed or been revoked.
Test Your Connection
We recommend testing the connection after setup.
  • Send a message from a test account.
  • Confirm that the response is received correctly.
  • Reauthorize the connection if you encounter authorization issues.
Recommendation
If the connection has not been used for an extended period or Facebook permissions have changed, reauthorize the connection to ensure messages can be received and sent correctly.
